SONEPAT: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today announced to give Rs 10 crore for undertaking various developmental works in Bhainswal Kalan, the native village of Olympic wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt here.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today announced to give Rs 10 crore for undertaking various developmental works in Bhainswal Kalan, the native village of Olympic wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt here.

The Chief Minister was in the village to attend marriage ceremony of London Olympics bronze medallist who tied the nuptial knot with Sheetal Sharma today

The projects include arrangement of canal-based drinking water supply, canal water for irrigation and making concrete roads in the village.

Extending heartfelt wishes and blessings to the newly-weds, Khattar said Dutt had brought laurels to the village on the global stage through his hard work.

Accepting the demands raised by the villagers, Khattar directed the officers concerned to implement canal-based drinking water supply and also canal water for irrigation in the village fields.

On the demand of a government college in the village, Khattar said the state government had framed a policy for opening a government college at every 20 km, and a college would be established in Bhainswal Kalan after examination of the demand.

Sonepat MP Ramesh Kaushik, Deputy Commissioner KM Pandurang, Rohtak DC Rakesh Arya, Sonepat SP Ashwin Shenvi, OSD to CM, Raj Kumar Bhardwaj were also present on the occasion.
