Dalits protest police ‘inaction’

NEW DELHI: Activists of the Dalit Soshit Mukti Manch (DSMM) today held a demonstration outside the Haryana Bhawan here in protest against the alleged failure of the police in arresting the accused in the Kurukshetra incident.

Activists of the Dalit Soshit Mukti Manch (DSMM) today held a demonstration outside the Haryana Bhawan here in protest against the alleged failure of the police in arresting the accused in the Kurukshetra incident.

A group of the upper caste stopped a Dalit bridegroom from riding a customary horse-driven chariot and later, indulged in violence at Bhusthala village in Kurukshetra district recently.

The activists raised slogans against the Haryana Government and the police. — TNS
