DC meets Jat leaders over protest call

Deputy Commissioner Prabhjot Singh today held a meeting with the representatives of Jat community in view of the call to renew the Jat stir from January 29.

Deputy Commissioner Prabhjot Singh today held a meeting with the representatives of Jat community in view of the call to renew the Jat stir from January 29. He urged the Jat representatives to maintain law and order and inform the administration before staging dharnas.

The DC said, “Ambala district largely remained peaceful during the agitation last year and we will make sure that peace is maintained in the district.”

SP Abhishek Jorwal asked the representatives to remain vigilant and not let anyone disturb the law and order situation, adding security arrangements were in place.
