Chandigarh, February 21
Jyotsana Bhardwaj, a Gurugram resident, who is pursuing a case against Ajay Bhardwaj, son a former IAS officer, today alleged that an IGP-level officer was using her clout to harass her.
Addressing a press conference here today, Jyotsana asserted that a case of trespass had been registered against her at the behest of the police official. In fact, police personnel, who had arrested Ajay Bhardwaj, were also being pressured by the police, she alleged.
Jyotsana, who also handed over a memorandum to the Chief Minister, said she had also moved the National Commission for Women (NCW) which had promised action into the matter.
Jyotsana claimed that the Punjab and Haryana High Court passed an order February 16 not to take any coercive action against her and had also summoned the police officer. The memorandum demanded the police officer’s transfer from Gurugram .
