Peeved over the transfer of IPS officer Sangeeta Kalia after her spat with Health Minister Anil Vij, residents of her native village Kakdomi Khurd village have decided to call a mahapanchayat to demand her reinstatement as the Fatehabad SP.

Kalia has been transferred as the Commandant, 4th IRB, Manesar.

The panchayat head, Sindolia khap general secretary Sitaram Sharma, decided to call a mahapanchayat on December 6.

“The IPS officer was wronged because Vij humiliated her in public and later for her transferred. This is injustice. It has set a wrong precedent and the panchayat will fight it out,” he said.

“The Kakdomi Khurd panchayat is contacting all other panchayats, including powerful Sangwan and Sheoran khaps, in the district for mobilising support for Kalia and force the government to reverse the transfer order,” Sharma added.
