CATTLE RESCUED: For the development of human resources in dairy sector, the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) and Dyalbagh Educational Institute, Agra, will sign a MOU soon.

Youth booked for sexually harassing minor

The police booked a 20-year-old youth on Wednesday for sexually harassing an eight-year-old girl in Preet Nagar of Sirsa. Ravi Kumar was arrested after booking him under the POCSO Act. The police said Ravi had been following the girl, passed lewd remarks and molested her. The girl's mother lodged a complaint, after which the police arrested him. — TNS

Four criminals armed with pistols barged into the house of flour mill owner Ram Kumar Garg in Sector 9 here around 9 pm on Tuesday night. They took away Rs 8 lakh in cash, besides gold and silver jewellery, along with a hard disk of the CCTV camera installed in the house. A case has been registered. — TNS

Cattle rescued, four smugglers held

A police team constituted by the Rohtak Range IGP impounded three vehicles carrying cattle near Meham town in the district on Tuesday night. The cattle were allegedly being taken to Delhi for slaughtering. The police said eight persons accompanying the cattle had been arrested. As many as 44 cattle were recovered from the vehicles. A case was registered. — TNS
