Security sought for ATFI leader

CHANDIGARH: The Anti-Terrorist Front India (ATFI) today threatened to organise a dharna in front of the Chief Minister’s residence here in case its national chief , Viresh Shandilya, who had been facing death threats from anti-national elements, was not provided security by the Haryana Police.

The Anti-Terrorist Front India (ATFI) today threatened to organise a dharna in front of the Chief Minister’s residence here in case its national chief , Viresh Shandilya, who had been facing death threats from anti-national elements, was not provided security by the Haryana Police.

A press note issued here today stated that the ATFI president and his family had been receiving death threats in the wake of his statements against anti-national statements of certain Muslim leaders. The threats were reportedly being received from Pakistan, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Hyderabad.

It alleged that despite repeated requests to the Haryana DGP and the Commissioner of Police, Panchkula-Ambala, no security had been provided to Shandilya and his family. The family received more threats today, the press note alleged.
