Rohtak, February 21
The police have come up with a tactical move to build confidence among residents in view of the agitation by members of the Jat community. Police personnel wearing black uniforms instead of khaki have been deployed at sensitive points in and around the town.
Sources maintain that officials of the CIA I and II wings as well as the Anti-Vehicle Theft (AVT) team have been asked to wear black uniforms instead of khaki to have an emphatic impression on the protesters as well as people.
Rohtak SP Pankaj Nain maintained that the officials who had been deployed in black uniforms were those who had undergone special riot-control training for maintenance of law and order.
