Villagers protest power cuts

Troubled with frequent power cuts, residents of Adhoun village staged a protest outside the power sub-station of the village on Tuesday. Kirpal Singh, a villager, said “We have been forced to protest. We had given land for the sub-station for free but still we are suffering. There is no lineman, the transformer broke down several months ago and has not been repaired,” he lamented. —TNS
