Cong leader commits suicide in Karnal

Karnal, December 17

Former district Congress vice-president Amichand Kamboj (52) reportedly committed suicide at Indergarh village in Indri block today.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Kushal Pal said Amichand shot himself with an illegal weapon which had been recovered. He said the reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained, adding, the source of the weapon would also be inquired into.

Amichand Kamboj quit the party during the last Assembly election and unsuccessfully contested as an independent. He had rejoined the Congress few months ago.
