Coordination among police units must: DSP

YAMUNANAGAR: An inter-district meeting of police officials to check rise in crime was held here today.



Yamunanagar, May 26

An inter-district meeting of police officials to check rise in crime was held here today. The meeting was chaired by DSP Madan Lal. It was attended by police officials of several districts, including Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra and Nahan in Himachal Pradesh.

The DSP said several issues like illegal mining, smuggling of khair wood, overloading of trucks, cattle and liquor smuggling were discussed at the meeting.

He said close coordination among the police units of various districts was required to check crime.

He said that as Yamunanagar shared its borders with Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, criminals managed to flee after committing crime in Haryana.

He said the meeting was also attended by a police official of Nahan district.— TNS
