A daring head constable associated with PCR today rescued a family when a major fire broke out in their three storey house in Prem Nagar on Saturday
Goods worth lakhs were damaged in the fire. Eight fire engines had to work for hours to put out the fire.
Head constable Dara Singh not only took out three children from the house, but also woke up all family members who were sleeping in the house. Besides, he took out six LPG cylinders from the house and two from a neighbouring house.
Residents in the vicinity were all praise for the cop and demanded the administration should reward him and recommend him for a bravery award, following which SDM Yogesh Kumar assured the residents that the administration would recommend his name for it.
