7,000 boxes of illicit liquor seized
Sonepat, March 29
A team of CM’s flying squad led by Ajit Kumar, DSP, seized 7000 boxes of illicit liquor during raid at a godown on the Thana Kalan road near Kharkhoda today. As many as 100 boxes of illicit liquor were seized from a truck and handed over to officials of the Excise Department.
A case was registered against unidentified persons at the Kharkhoda police station. They reportedly fled the godown when the raid started. The DSP said the raid was conducted on receiving information about illegal stocking and supply of liquor from the godown. The stock was to be supplied to UP and Haryana. — OC
