Woman poisons son, herself

A woman administered poison to her seven-month-old son before herself consumed it at Aachej village under the Beri police station area here yesterday. The victims have been identified as Sharmila and her son Lakshya. The reason behind the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.

The mother and her son were rushed to the Civil Hospital when their condition deteriorated after consuming poison but they died before reaching the hospital. The police today handed over the bodies to the bereaved family after a post-mortem examination.
