A complete entertainment package will be awaiting those visiting the Surajkund International Crafts Mela-2015 starting from February 1.
Surajkund Mela Authority Chief Administrator Sumita Misra said the evening cultural programmes would add charm to the fair. The cultural programmes will start from 6 pm at the chaupal, an open-air theatre, inside the mela premises.
She said dancers from Chhattisgarh would perform on February 1, Mediterranean culture of Lebanon would be on display on February 2, international exotic performance on February 3, Telangana artistes would present a show on February 4, rhythms of Chhattisgarh would come on stage on February 5 and Haryana Day celebrations would be presented by the Department of Cultural Affairs on February 6.
Misra, who is also the Haryana Tourism Managing Director, said Punjabi pop and folk singer Master Saleem would perform on February 7.
The audience will enjoy the performance of Indian folk dancers on February 8. An evocative Mirza-Sahiba ballet with folk dances and singing by pop and folk singer Gurinder Ginda and a performance by Chhattisgarh dancers will regale the audience on February 9 and 10, respectively. Hasya Kavi Sammelan by humourist Surinder Sharma and party will be held on February 11.
Misra said qawwalis by Abdul Hamid Sabri and Razia Bano would be held on February 12, Rajasthani folk by famous Manganyaar or Langha singers — Janab Taleb Khan, Barkat Khan and their group — from Jaisalmer and Barmer (Rajasthan) on February 13.
