Dera follower held for sedition

AMBALA: The Ambala police have arrested another Dera Sacha Sauda follower on the sedition charge and recovered Rs 14 lakh from his house.

The Ambala police have arrested another Dera Sacha Sauda follower on the sedition charge and recovered Rs 14 lakh from his house.

The accused has been identified as Bhag Singh, a resident of Mohra village. He was produced before a court today, which sent him to judicial custody. Five dera followers have already been arrested on the sedition charge in Ambala.

A police spokesman said, “The accused has revealed that another dera follower Ashok gave him the money on August 23 on the directions of Dera Sacha Sauda for triggering arson and damaging public properties”.

Earlier, the police had seized Rs 38 lakh meant for ‘qurbani’ teams to trigger arson, from the house of dera follower Jai Ram.
