Diarrhoea : 2 die in F’bad villages

Fatehabad, June 12

A week after 200 people had taken ill due to diarrhoea in Babanpur village of Fatehabad, a 14-year-old girl and a 45-year-old woman died in Nagal village of the district due to outbreak of the disease.

While 14-year-old Sapna died on Monday, Lakhmi Bai (45) died on Sunday. Dr VK Jain, a consultant at the Civil Hospital, Ratia, maintained that Lakhmi died before the outbreak of the disease.

He said samples of drinking water taken from Babanpur village were found unfit for human consumption. “Samples have also been taken from Nangal village,” — TNS
