The Haryana Government has decided to establish drought-monitoring centres at the district level, said

Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Capt Abhimanyu after presiding over a training workshop on monitoring of drought her today .

He said while the Meteorology Department had predicted normal monsoon in the country this year, the government was fully prepared to tackle any possible drought situation. “In the case of any natural calamity in the last two-and-a-half years, the government has paid the largest amount as compensation ,” he added.— TNS
