1,995 students awarded degrees

AMBALA:Union Minister of State for Health and FamilyWelfare Faggan Singh Kulaste conferred degrees upon 1,995 graduate, postgraduate and PhD students of the Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana, during the annual convocationheld today.

Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Faggan Singh Kulaste conferred degrees upon 1,995 graduate, postgraduate and PhD students of the Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana, during the annual convocation held today.

University Chancellor Dr Tarsem Kumar Garg presided over the function. As many as 45 students were conferred with  doctoral degrees, 561 received Master’s degrees while 1,389 received Bachelor’s degrees were awarded in various disciplines, including engineering, medical, computer applications, business management, nursing, physiotherapy, hotel management, law, pharmacy and dental.

Kulaste called upon the graduate students  to stay rooted to their values, 

culture and customs, where in they would find enduring answers to the real world. Tarsem Kumar Garg gave away medals to meritorious students. Vice-Chancellor Dr Victor Gambhir presented the annual report of the university.
