Sheetal, a resident of Liwaspur village in the district, was given a cash award of Rs 20,000 by Sonepat SDM Amna Tasneem here today under the Dr BR Ambedkar National Merit Award scheme for passing her class XII examination from the Haryana School Education Board, Bhiwani, this year securing 92 per cent marks. Sheetal wished to make her career in civil services.
The award is given by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department of Haryana to SC students are placed in the merit list of the board.
