Expressway from Y’nagar to Delhi on cards: CM

YAMUNANAGAR: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said today that the state government was in talks with the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh government for constructing an expressway along the Yamuna and several bridges on the river.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said today that the state government was in talks with the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh government for constructing an expressway along the Yamuna and several bridges on the river.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, Khattar said, “I have made 3,600 announcements as a Chief Minister so far, out of which 2,250 had been completed and the rest are in progress.”

He said, “After assuming charge in 2014, I went to all district headquarters. Later, I went to all 90 Assembly constituencies. Now, I have started my third visit under which I am staying in all districts for two days.”

The CM further said, “Our government is not biased. It is working for the equal development of all districts. I think no other Chief Minister has gone to all 90 Assembly constituencies of the state.”

On the question of compensation to Dera Sacha Sauda followers who were killed in Panchkula last month, the Chief Minister said they were working as per the orders and directives of the High Court.

He said an SIT had been probing the cases of attempt to leak the papers for the posts of bus conductors and inspectors of the Excise and Taxation Department. He said action would be taken against the guilty.

Khattar arrived in Yamunanagar district yesterday.

Quality Marking Centre to be upgraded

Yamunanagar: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said today that the Quality Marking Centre, Jagadhri, would be upgraded at a cost of Rs 32 crore and an export display centre would also be set up there. Addressing representatives of the industrial units of Yamunanagar district here today, the Chief Minister also approved Rs 33 crore for the renovation and repair of the infrastructure and roads in the Yamunanagar industrial area, Industrial Estate phase 1, phase 2 and Industrial Estate, Manakpur.
