Five injured in mishap

KURUKSHETRA: Five persons were seriously injured in a vehicular pile up on the National Highway-44 near Shahabad town on Monday.

Five persons were seriously injured in a vehicular pile up on the National Highway-44 near Shahabad town on Monday.

According to information, Manjit Singh was driving from Kurukshetra towards Ambala when a tyre of his SUV burst near Aman Hotel. Manjit lost control over the vehicle and it crashed into the divider and collided head-on with another SUV in the opposite lane. Later, at least two more vehicles rammed into them.

Police sources said that Umesh, a resident of Delhi, was referred to a private hospital in the national capital. He reportedly sustained serious shoulder injuries.
