Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda has said the BJP seems to be suffering from the Bhupinder Singh Hooda phobia.

He said this at a ‘Yuva Hunkar Rally’ here today.

“The BJP should be presenting a report card of its achievements, if any, before the people. Instead, it has been targeting the former Chief Minister. The only reason for this is the government has nothing to show,” the Congress leader said.

He further said BJP chief Amit Shah’s Jind rally made several records of sorts. “A poorly attended rally that cost Rs 20 crore. Moreover, not a single development project was announced.”

On the deteriorating law and order situation, he drew a comparison with Jammu and Kashmir. “The Union Home Minister has said in Lok Sabha that 22 persons died in J&K in the past three years due to law and order situation. In the corresponding period, 76 persons died in Haryana because of the same reason. This exposes the shocking state of law and order in Haryana,” Deepender said.

On his father’s rath yatra that would start from Hodal on February 25, the MP said it would not only expose the BJP, but also spread a massage of brotherhood and social harmony.

“People of the state want to get rid of the non-performing and corrupt government. The government has realised that it is unpopular in the public. So, instead of talking about development, it has been trying to change the political discourse to caste and communal agenda,” alleged the Congress MP.

On the restoration of student elections in colleges and universities, Deepender said it was ironical that the party that was responsible for creating law and order situation on campuses and that drove then Bansi Lal government to ban student elections was holding a dharna on this count. He was referring to the INLD.
