The state government has decided to act tough against workers of the National Health Mission (NHM), who have intensified their strike throughout the state after termination of six members of their association.
Sources said following orders of Health Minister Anil Vij, the NHM authorities had directed civil surgeons not to allow any kind of dharna within hospital premises and take police help to remove them if they try to do so.
Orders have also been issued to lodge FIRs in case any attempt is made to lock any hospital building or stop any vehicle.
The NHM authorities have also issued orders that ambulances operating under the referral services should not be allowed to be hindered by the striking workers. The civil surgeons have been told to immediately employ new drivers by removing the old ones if they go on strike.
Meanwhile, the NHM Employees’ Association has sought audience with Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for airing their grievances.
In a letter to Khattar, they have alleged that their grievances were not being heard and efforts were being made to crush them.
