Hisar, May 7
A policeman was on Monday shot dead by unknown assailants in the court complex in Siwani town of Bhiwani district.
The deceased policeman has been identified as Bhagirath, a resident of Gorchi village in Hisar.
The assailants tried to free a undertrial, who was being produced in the court.
The police, however, overpowered the two assailants identified as Sumit and Manjit soon after the incident.
Bhiwani SP Ganga Ram Punia and Sessions Judge have rushed to the spot.
