CHANDIGARH: Acting on a petition against Union Minister Krishan Pal Gujjar and other respondents alleging threats, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has asked the Faridabad DCP to file an action taken report.

Chandigarh, December 7

Acting on a petition against Union Minister Krishan Pal Gujjar and other respondents alleging threats, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has asked the Faridabad DCP to file an action taken report.

Justice Sudip Ahluwalia also asked the DCP to file his reply on the issues raised by ex-serviceman Bishamber Singh Chaprana in his petition against the state of Haryana and other respondents. The Bench also issued a notice of motion. In the order, Justice Ahluwalia asked the DCP to spell out the action taken on the petitioner’s previous representation dated November 21.

Chaprana was seeking directions for the protection of life and liberty for himself and his family. He claimed that some of the respondents had been threatening him to sell his land in favour of Gujjar and others. — TNS
