Haryana Human Rights Commission (HHRC) chairman Vijender Jain said out of 6,000 complaints received in the past three years, 4,200 were resolved by the commission.
Addressing the media at the PWD rest house here today, Jain said people need to lodge complaints without hesitation. They can mail their complaints on [email protected]. or call on toll-free number 1800-180-2064.
Jain said it was the commission which took suo moto cognisance of the alleged Murthal rapes, and sought a response from the state government.
He said the commission had asked the state government to submit report till May 17 about the loss during the Jat reservation stir.
Jain lauded the cleanliness drive launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said cleanliness and good health were linked.
He said the commission had launched an awareness drive to curb the menace of drugs, female foeticide, and bonded labour.
Commission member JS Ahlawat; AK Dhull, Director General of Police; and Dhirendra Khatgad, Additional Deputy Commissioner were present.
