Hisar youth gets 26th rank in civil services

HISAR: Himanshu Nagpal, a resident of Hansi town, bagged the 26th rank in the civil services examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, the result of which was declared on Friday.

Himanshu Nagpal, a resident of Hansi town, bagged the 26th rank in the civil services examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, the result of which was declared on Friday. Himanshu, 22, achieved the feat in his first attempt. His father Pankaj Nagpal is a journalist with a vernacular daily.

Pankaj Nagpal said Himanshu was talented from the beginning. He topped the Class XII examination and later completed BCom from Hansraj College. He also got an all-India 9th rank in the level-2 examination of CA.

He said Himanshu always nurtured a dream to help needy people and chose the path of civil services to do so.

Another youth, Sahil Garg, son of Bhiwani Additional District Sessions Judge Sushil Kumar Garg, got 376th rank in the civil services. Sahil is already posted as an Additional Divisional Finance Manager in the Railways at Agra.
