The Cabinet today decided to withdraw facilities to former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on a par with a Cabinet minister in Chandigarh.

The Council of Ministers at its meeting held on May 2, 2013, under Hooda’s chairmanship had decided that all facilities being provided to a Cabinet minister may also be provided to the former Chief Ministers at Chandigarh.

Vanity numbers

The Cabinet approved amendment to the Haryana Motor Vehicle Rules, 1993, to revise the fee for obtaining preferential registration numbers of non-commercial and commercial vehicle vehicles.

In case of non-commercial vehicles, the transport department would now charge Rs1.5 lakh for the registration marks 0002, 0007 and 0009 in any series while for the remaining single digit numbers 0003 to 0006 and 0008 in any series, the fee would be Rs1 lakh instead of Rs75,000 earlier. However, the fee for No 0001 would remain unchanged that is Rs5 lakh in any series.

The numbers like 0010, 0011, 0022, 0033, 0044, 0055, 0066, 0077, 0088, 0099, 0100 and 786 would cost Rs75,000 each instead of Rs50,000 earlier.

In the case of commercial vehicles, the registration numbers 0002 to 0021, 0022, 0033, 0044, 0055, 0066, 0077, 0088, 0099 and number 786 would cost Rs20,000 each. Any other registration mark for preferential allotment on an out-of-turn basis within the running series, including 0100, would cost Rs10,000.

Transfer policy

The Cabinet approved the Draft Teachers Transfer Policy of the School Education Department. The policy seeks to ensure equitable, demand-based deployment of teachers and school heads.

Selection criteria

The Cabinet approved a new formula to be followed by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission to call candidates for interview for various posts. According to the new formula, if the number of posts is lower than or equal to three, the number of candidates called for interview would be eight times the number of posts. If the number of posts is from four to 10, the number of candidates called for interview would be 30. In the case of 11 or more posts, the number of candidates called for interview would be thrice the number of posts.

Mutation fee

The Cabinet today approved the proposal to waive the mutation fee of all pending mutations in the state provided these are carried out within a time frame of three months. This will facilitate consignment of jamabandis, incorporation of mutations in the software and online jamabandi. The Cabinet also approved to increase the mutation fee from Rs200 to Rs250 per mutation.

Amnesty scheme

The Cabinet approved the Haryana Amnesty Scheme, 2016, for registered dealers affected in the state during the Jat agitation in February.

Industrial rules

The Cabinet today approved the draft Haryana Enterprises Promotion Rules, 2016, to achieve the objectives and provisions contained in the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Act, 2016.
