INLD MLA visits grain markets

INLD MLA from the Dabwali Assembly segment Naina Singh Chautala today visited grain markets of her constituency to know about the problems faced by farmers and traders.

A number of farmers and traders complained that the government procurement agencies were finding all faults in their wheat and the lifting of the purchased wheat was too slow.

Naina summoned the staff of the market committee and the representatives of the government procurement agencies on the spot and told them to ensure that wheat was purchased.

“The INLD will not tolerate exploitation of farmers,” she warned.

Later, speaking to mediapersons, Naina alleged that the vows of farmers had multiplied since the BJP government had come to power in the state.

She alleged the BJP leaders were in the habit of making tall claims and not fulfilling them. Their attitude towards farmers was insensitive, she said.

The MLA maintained that the relaxations in the norms announced by the BJP governments at the Centre and the state were eyewash.

Dr Sita Ram, former MLA and chairman of zila parishad, and TekChand Chhabra, president of Arhtiya Association, accompanied the MLA.
