Intoxicating drugs seized

CHANDIGARH: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has seized 1.25 lakh tablets of Tramadol and 5,700 tablets of Alprazolam, both intoxicating drugs, from a medical store at Alika village in Sirsa.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has seized 1.25 lakh tablets of Tramadol and 5,700 tablets of Alprazolam, both intoxicating drugs, from a medical store at Alika village in Sirsa.

State Drugs Controller-cum-Joint Commissioner of the FDA Narinder Ahooja said the drug control officer Sandeep Gahlan raided the shop AK Medicos and the residence of its proprietor Ashok and seized the drugs. The DCO has sealed the shop, he said. —TNS
