Local MP Ashwini Chopra today accused the state bureaucracy of giving a lacklustre response to development works causing resentment among BJP legislators.

While he backed the ‘unhappy’ MLAs, the MP stated that Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had a clean image.

Chopra claimed that these MLAs were not against the party but had some resentment over the non-cooperation of the bureaucracy for some development works, which would be resolved.

He also blamed the bureaucracy for creating hurdles in the development of the state and urged the CM to keep a check on its functioning.

“These MLAs have raised their issues with the high command, so that these were paid attention to,” he asserted, adding that he too had raised this issue of non-cooperation of bureaucrats earlier.

The MP denied the possibility of any change of guard in the state and said it was not easy to change the CM as he had a clean image. No allegation of corruption could be levelled on him, he said.

Chopra showed ignorance over the issue of ownership of Gwal Pahari land in Gurugram.

The MP alleged that the Congress was a house divided. He said its leaders were busy burning effigies of each other and cannot point a finger at the BJP unity.

The MP admitted that there was resentment among party workers for not being given any appointments. He refuted the allegations of neglecting his constituency and said he had been visiting various parts of the constituency regularly. He assured of holding a meeting to address public grievances soon.

On the issue of Satluj-Yamuna Link (SYL)canal, Ashwini Chopra claimed that nobody was above the Supreme Court and Haryana would get its due share.
