Karnal woman gets leg stuck in grill outside Sectt

KARNAL: A woman had a harrowing experience for around 30 minutes when her right leg was stuck in a grill of the pathway at the entrance of the mini-secretariat here on Monday.

Karnal, June 18

A woman had a harrowing experience for around 30 minutes when her right leg was stuck in a grill of the pathway at the entrance of the mini-secretariat here on Monday. The police had to got the grill cut with the help of a cutter to take out her leg. She was shifted to Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College and Hospital and given first-aid.

Usha, a resident of Gharaunda, along with other women had come to the mini-secretariat for some work. When she was entering the mini-secretariat, her right leg got stuck in the grill of the pathway, leading to chaos. Police personnel deployed there rushed to help her. Meanwhile, other women and policewomen came to her rescue.

Inspector Roshan Lal said that they got the grill cut with the help of a metal cutter and extricated her leg.

Isha Kamboj, City Magistrate, said that she would get it checked if there is any engineering defect in the pathway.
