BADLI (JHAJJAR): Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today announced laying of a railway track between Farrukhnagar (Gurugram) to Charkhi Dadri via Jhajjar.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today announced laying of a railway track between Farrukhnagar (Gurugram) to Charkhi Dadri via Jhajjar. He also said 22 foundation stones for government girls colleges would be laid on January 22.

Khattar was addressing a gathering at ‘Mota Jota (thanksgiving)’ rally at Ch Devi Lal Government College here today. The rally was organised by Agriculture Minister OP Dhankar. Union Ministers Birender Singh and Krishan Pal Singh Gurjar; and Haryana ministers Rambilas Sharma, Capt Abhimanyu, Manish Grower and Krishan Panwar, along with several MLAs were present.

The CM said the railway line would connect some districts of South Haryana directly with Gurugram and people would be able to commute daily to earn a living.

“Under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (BBBP) mission, the BJP government has vowed to open a girl college within the radius of 20 km across the state to ensure education for every girl, hence foundation stones of government girl colleges will be laid on January 22. The venue is yet to be finalised,” said Khattar.

He also announced a new road from Badhsa (Jhajjar) to Dwarika Expressway (Delhi) costing Rs 550 crore to ensure Jhajjar’s connectivity with the Delhi airport. He said an airstrip would also be constructed near Badhsa after finding out its feasibility. A helipad will be development there,” he said.

National Cancer Institute is being built and an outreach OPD of AIIMS is also being run in Badhsa village located on the Delhi and Haryana border.

Birender Singh claimed rate of interest on the bank loan would go down due to the impact of demonetisation. He demanded the Chief Minister to develop shops on the Delhi border for farmers, so that they could earn profit by selling their products directly to Delhi people.

Earlier, Dhankar thanked the Chief Minister for extending subdivision status to Badli and presented him a demand charter for the development of Badli.
