Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today inaugurated and laid foundation stones of projects worth Rs 116 crore through remote control at the PWD rest house here. He deviated from scheduled programmes, leading to confusion among party workers, mediapersons and public.

The Chief Minister heard public grievances at a marriage palace on the Ambala road. According to information, Khatttar heard 82 of the 186 complaints listed and gave necessary directions. He directed UHBVN superintending engineer RK Tewatia to organise camps in various villages to address public complaints.

He later came down and went to people and collected complaints. However, there were complainants such as Som Pal, a resident of Peedal, whose baby was allegedly exchanged with a baby girl in the civil hospital over a year ago, and commission agents Vikas, Lajpat, Pawan and Vinod, who were disappointed as they could not hand over their complaints to Khattar.

The Chief Minister laid the foundation stones of various projects, including two 33 KV power substations in Badsikri and Songal villages at a cost of Rs 4 crore each, drinking water supply and sewerage schemes in Keorak under the Mahagram scheme, Rs 21 crore project of drinking water and sewerage in Siwan, and Rs 1. 50 crore for a community centre in Pundri and the construction of committee staff quarters at a cost of Rs 1. 60 crore in Cheeka. Later the Chief Minister held a meeting with party workers. MP Raj Kumar Saini, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Baksheesh Singh Virk, Pundri MLA Dinesh Kaushik, Kalayat MLA Kulwant Bajigar, former MLA Leela Ram, BJP district president Subhash Hajwana, state executive member Rao Surinder Singh attended the meeting. He also met district officials late in the evening.
