Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today took feedback about the performance of the government and sought suggestions. He chaired a closed-door meeting with the party’s district executive committee here.

Sources said party workers lauded the government’s policy of giving jobs on merit. But they raised the issue of uemployment in rural areas and sought some relaxation for village youths.

They said that students from rural areas could not compete with the students of urban areas and they must be given some relaxation. Some of the workers complained that they were not given ample time to speak, said sources.

The party workers sought regularisation of colonies and timely implementation of announcements.

The Chief Minister said that it took him sometime to understand and mend things but now the work would be done at a fast speed. He asked the party workers to keep an eye on the development projects and report if they found any deficiency in the work.

Khattar later, while talking to mediapersons, said: “We are taking feedback about the performance of the government. People have appreciated the policies, while some grievances have also come to notice. We have noted down all issues and will work on them”.

He also held a meeting with district officials and inquired about the completed and pending projects.

Khattar directed officials of the Power Department to make serious efforts in checking power theft. He asked them to raid residences and offices of district officials and politicians, too. He directed the district officials to give priority to the solid and liquid waste management programmes in the urban and rural areas.

Khattar expressed unhappiness over the delay in settlements of revenue cases.

He directed to upgrade the Naraingarh Civil Hospital from 50 to 100-bed and set up a Public Health Centre at Bhurewala village.

Haealth Minister Anil Vij, Minister of State Nayab Singh Saini, Mullana MLA Santosh Sarwan and City MLA Aseem Goel were present in the meeting.

Later, the Chief Minister took part in a roadshow in the city and greeted people.
