Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will inaugurate the new five-storey building of general hospital here on June 30. The 200-bedded new hospital building would be equipped with latest medical facilities to provide better healthcare to people. Though, the project has been delayed by four months, but the department has saved Rs six crore. The tentative time to complete the building was February 2018. The new building would have a 25-bed emergency ward while a 10-bed burn ward has been made on its first floor. The facilities of ultrasound, X-ray, MRI and CT scan would be available on the ground floor.
The general ward for women and children would be on the second floor while 18 VIP air conditioned rooms with the facility of mini kitchen, separate toilet would be started at the third floor and general surgery and medicine wards would be on its fifth floor. Besides, it would have four modular and two general operation theatres on the fifth floor.
Six lifts have been installed for the convenience of patients and their attendants. The CT scan and MRI services would be available on public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
Dr SL Verma, Civil Surgeon, said, the Chief Minister would inaugurate the hospital’s new building on June 30.
