KU postpones exams due to farmers’ stir

In view of the farmers’ agitation, the Kurukshetra University has postponed examinations of various courses of the Centre for Distance and Online Education and MA/MSc fourth semester (special) reappear examination till further orders.

The examinations were scheduled to begin from February 20.

Dr Hukam Singh, controller of examinations, said, “Due to the agitation, several roads are lying blocked and the mobile Internet services are also suspended. Taking precautionary measures, in the larger interest of students, it has been decided to postpone the examinations till further orders. A notification has been issued in this regard. Once the situation normalises, fresh dates for examinations will be announced.”

Examinations of various courses, including BA first year, M Com first year, B Lib science, MSc in biotechnology (fourth semester), MSc in mathematics (fourth semester), MSc in chemistry (fourth semester), MSc in computer science (fourth semester), MSc in forensic science (fourth semester), MSc in geography (fourth semester), MSc in physics (fourth semester), MSc in statistics (fourth semester), MA in English (fourth semester), MA in sociology (first semester), MA in women studies (first semester), master of social work (fourth semester) and MBA/MCA (first semester), have been postponed.
