Lotus will bloom in Gujarat, Himachal: Khattar

Chandigarh, December 15

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal  Khattar said on Friday that the lotus would “bloom in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat” because the country had “faith in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s welfare policies”.

Speaking to the press before he boarded a bus for Himachal’s Parwanoo, where he and officers of his government will participate in the three-day Chintan Shivir starting Friday, Khattar said that exit polls prediction of a BJP victory in both states had been fairly obvious from the beginning, because people were “fed up” with Congress policies.

Asked about Opposition’s concerns with the “Chintan Shivir” — a brainstorming session that the BJP claims is aimed at reviewing the state government’s own performance — Khattar said that Opposition had done nothing in its tenure at the head of the state and therefore had “nothing to review”.

The state government will also set goals for the next two years during the session, which will also host young entrepreneurs to help “build a vision for a new Haryana”.

The state’s lawmakers will attend the last day of the session, he said.
