Karnal, April 24

The two-day state BJP executive meeting commenced here today, with Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, state president Subhash Barala and several ministers and MLAs interacting with party cadre.

The agenda passed in the party’s national executive committee in Bhubaneswar on April 15 and 16 was discussed. The state unit passed the agenda of highlighting people-centric schemes of the state and the Union government.

On the first day, party leaders asked its workers and leaders to go to the public, highlighting schemes launched by the Union and the state governments.

The media was not allowed during the meeting. As per party sources, Khattar urged the party cadre to strengthen the party and convey the policies and working of the government to the people.

He lauded the efforts being taken by the state government for the uplift of the common man. He claimed that the state government had set an example in transparency and corruption-free government.

The Chief Minister claimed that the party has given good governance in the state. He reiterated the slogan of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”, saying inclusive development was the motive of the government.

Appreciating the efforts of party workers, he said they were the backbone of the party and they would work more effectively in the coming days. He asked them to work effectively for the uplift of the last person in the row.

Barala asked workers to take a pledge for uplift of the downtrodden. He said this was the identity of party workers and would give a feeling of satisfaction.

He lauded the work done by the state government, saying it had contributed a lot towards good governance. Efforts would be made to take the policies of the government to the masses, he said.

To strengthen the cadre, the state party president asked workers to focus on policies for the development of the poor. He hailed the decision of the Union government to demonetise high-value currency.
