Material worth Rs 3 crore gutted

SONEPAT: Finished goods, raw material and machinery estimated to be worth around Rs 3 crore were destroyed in fire which broke out at a cardboard industrial unit in the Kundli industrial area of Sonepat district this morning.

Finished goods, raw material and machinery estimated to be worth around Rs 3 crore were destroyed in fire which broke out at a cardboard industrial unit in the Kundli industrial area of Sonepat district this morning.

Around a dozen fire tenders requisitioned from Sonepat and Narela in Delhi took more than three hours to douse the flames.

“The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained,” said Neeraj Goyal, one of the owners. He said there was no loss of life in the incident and the authorities had been informed.
