Minor rape case: Three sent to judicial custody

YAMUNANAGAR: Three persons — Danish alias Bhattu, Farman alias Sanjay and Mehar Lal, all residents of Mohri village — arrested for gangraping a 14-year-old girl of Mohri village were sent in judicial custody by a local court here on Tuesday.

Three persons — Danish alias Bhattu, Farman alias Sanjay and Mehar Lal, all residents of Mohri village — arrested for gangraping a 14-year-old girl of Mohri village were sent in judicial custody by a local court here on Tuesday.

Sheelawanti, SHO, Women Police Station, said the fourth accused, Yashvin of Jathlana village, was already in judicial custody. She said the fifth accused, Vikas alias Kala of Mohri village, was still at large.

As per the FIR lodged in the case, the 14-year-old victim was allegedly kidnapped by four persons from her house and sexually assaulted by two of them at a dharamshala in Mohri village under Jathlana police station of Yamunanagar district on April 20.

On the complaint of victim’s mother, the police registered a case against Mehar Lal alias Mellu (30), Vikas alias Kala (24), both belonging to victim’s village, and two other unknown persons under the POCSO Act and Sections 365 (kidnapping), 452 (house trespass) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC on April 21.
