Kurukshetra, November 16

The Jind district administration today launched a mobile app, which would enable residents to send pictures of dirty spots to the authorities for "immediate action", as part of the clean Jind mission.

Amit Khatri, Deputy Commissioner, said the authorities would ensure removal of trash within stipulated two days. Action taken would be digitally monitored by a help desk at the Chief Minister's Office.

Khatri said in the first phase, the initiative had been rolled out in Jind and Narwana subdivisions. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar would extend the digital facility to the entire state later this month, he added.

Khatri said the project has five steps of action and the City Magistrate has been nominated as its nodal officer. Pictures uploaded through the app would directly reach the sweeper of the given locality. In case of non-action within two days, the photos would automatically reach three sanitation officials and then the civic authorities, he added.

The Deputy Commissioner said the app is available free on the Google Play Store.
