NHRC approached over denial of clean air, water

FARIDABAD: A local resident has approached the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) over denial of clean air and water due to acute pollution.

Faridabad, February 28

A local resident has approached the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) over denial of clean air and water due to acute pollution.

A team of experts had recently found that sewage treatment plants of almost all residential societies in Greater Faridabad were not functioning as per the norms.

In his complaint, Pramod Manocha, a resident of Sector 88 here, had stated that acute air and water pollution caused by improper disposal of sewage had led not only to various health hazards, but nearly 40,000 residents were suffering due to non-availability of fresh and clean air and water. — TNS
