Chandigarh, June 22
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today decided to waive intra-state “wheeling charges” on transmission of electricity generated from solar power plants in the state.
“Wheeling charges” refer to the process of transmission of electricity from one source to another through the transmission lines or grid. Under section 108 of Electricity Act 2003, the state government has already approved a request to the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) for waiving these charges. — TNS
