Hisar, September 13

Bajrang Dass Garg, Haryana Vyapar Mandal president, said today that there was complete strike in the grain markets across the state today in protest against e-procurement and direct payment to farmers.

Garg said the mandal has urged all traders in the state not to participate in e-tendering and not make direct payment to farmers. “The decision is not in the interest of arhtiyas, farmers, millers and transporters. Nobody is happy with the decision,” he added.

He said if the government does not withdraw the decision, they would organise a state-level function in Karnal on September 23 to plan an indefinite strike.
