The Cabinet decided to constitute a sub-committee of the Council of Ministers to prepare a blue print of integrated dairy complexes in all cities of the state.

The committee consists of Agriculture Minister Om Parkash Dhankhar, Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain and Minister of State for Cooperation Munish Kumar Grover. The committee will submit its report within a month. The Cabinet also directed the Town and Planning Department that in the development plans of towns, some area be earmarked around the towns where dairy, fodder and vegetable market could be set up.

To implement the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) policy for areas adjacent to six metros in Haryana, a proposal of the Town and Country Department to amend the draft on the basis of suggestions received from public published on July 15, 2016 was today approved by the state Cabinet which met in Surajkund of Faridabad district.

According to the amendment, in case an individual applies for a licence in an institutional area in the TOD zone, he would have to transfer to the government an equal area of land in a residential zone in the same development plan under the Transferable Development Rights (TDR) policy.

The government would utilise the land to set up institutions like colleges, hospitals, fire, power and police stations etc.

The amendment will help in effective implementation the policy for Innovative Financing of Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) projects. The amended policy will become applicable with immediate effect.

Also, in Clause 7 of Planning Parameter of Ground Coverage/FAR, within the TOD zone, for independent group housing colonies the minimum area norm within the TOD zone in hyper/high potential zones shall be 4 acres instead of prevailing norm of 10 acres. The minimum area norm for other category of colonies shall remain unaltered. The other planning parameters viz FAR ground coverage, parking extra shall also remain unchanged.
