Chandigarh: The Haryana Government has decided to give the benefit of 7th Pay Commission to all contractual employees working under the National Health Mission (NHM). The hike of 14.29 per cent is to be extended to about 12,500 contractual employees working with the NHM. With this hike, the additional annual liability would be Rs 32.42 crore. TNS

Digitisation
The government has decided to make digitisation of vouchers mandatory in the state. All drawing and disbursing officers (DDOs) of the district treasury offices have been asked to start the process of digitisation of vouchers from November 2 this year whereas DDOs of sub-treasury officers would do this from December 1. The Higher Education Department has asked all eligible extension lecturers, previously working in government colleges on workload basis, to contact principal of any government college of their choice for adjustment. TNS

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Friday organised an awareness campaign at the Ambala Cantonment Railway Station to make people aware about the RPF helpline number 182. Ajay Bharadwaj, Inspector, RPF, said passengers could dial RPF helpline number 182 in case of theft, quarrel or crime against women and they would get the requisite help at very next station. TNS
