- The district administrative and police authorities have swung into action to deal with any eventuality in view of the verdict in a rape case against Dera Sacha Sauda head Ram Rahim on August 25.
- The anti-riot police wing of the district administration carried out a mock drill in the Police Lines. Amitabh Dhillon, IG, Hisar, inspected the mock drill . Two companies of the anti-riot police are likely to be deployed in the district in view of apprehension of violence.
- DC Nikhil Gajraj also held a meeting of the district officials and the police officials and assigned duties to them. The DC also appointed about 10 duty magistrates to be deployed at critical points.
