Chandigarh, April 24

While giving a major relief to the micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the state, the Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, has announced that MSMEs having connected load up to 20 kilowatt (KW) would be charged Rs 4.75 per unit instead of Rs 6.65 per unit with effect from May 1, 2018.

The difference would be transferred by the Industries Department directly into the bank account of beneficiary units through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Khattar made this announcement when a delegation of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) led by chairman, CII, Northern Region, Sachit Jain, called on him here on Monday. The delegation thanked the Chief Minister for announcing this major incentive for MSMEs.

Meanwhile, the Industries and Commerce Minister, Vipul Goel, has also thanked the Chief Minister for slashing the electricity rate for MSMEs having connected load up to 20 KW and said that this is a big step forward by the state government towards promoting MSMEs in the state.

Neeraj Daftuar, Principal Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister, was also present on the occasion.
